Mission

Virginia Africa Partnership is a non-profit and non-partisan organization that aims to drive economic growth and foster sustainable development by creating a robust and mutually beneficial relationship between Virginia and Africa. Its mission focuses on several key areas:
Promoting Entrepreneurship: The partnership seeks to inspire and support entrepreneurial ventures, creating opportunities for individuals and businesses to thrive through collaboration between Virginia and Africa.
Increasing Trade Opportunities: The initiative works to enhance trade between Virginia and African nations, facilitating economic exchanges that benefit both regions.
Bridging Collaboration Between Educational Institutions: The mission includes strengthening partnerships between Virginia universities, particularly Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and African higher education institutions, fostering academic exchange, research collaboration, and shared knowledge.
Promoting Sister-City Relationships: The partnership aims to establish sister-city relationships between Virginia and various African cities, counties, and provinces, promoting cultural exchange, economic ties, and mutual understanding.
